Twenty-five 9th-graders from our sister institution, Bement School in Deerfield, Massachusetts, flew in and spent four days with our 8th-graders exploring Southern Arizona and getting to know the issues and one another. This year’s activities included a trip up Mount Lemmon and a visit to the Desert Museum, as well as an unforgettable visit to the border wall in Nogales. This is the third time we’ve joined up with Bement to share our worlds, and this year’s visit was incredibly successful. (There were plenty of hugs and tears at parting.) In April, our 8th Grade will return the visit!
